Maria Ford Conliffe is Principal of Ford-Conliffe & Associates, LLC a Human Resources consulting firm which offers leadership and diversity training.
During her 30-year career at Ford Motor Company, Maria held several Human Resources leadership positions in a various operations, including manufacturing plants, engineering staff, Ford Credit and Personnel Relations.
In her role as Manager of Equal Employment Planning, she was responsible for ensuring Ford Motor Company’s compliance with U.S. Department of Labor Affirmative Action regulations and managing the application of Title VII Equal Employment Opportunity requirements.
In addition, she conducted special diversity training targeted for salaried employees in Ford manufacturing plants throughout the U.S. and Canada. Also, she is part of a team of HR professionals who investigate Title VII issues at Ford manufacturing plants.
Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Instructional Technology (College of Education) from Wayne State University. She also holds a master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Marygrove College, Detroit. Certifications include Myers-Briggs (MBTI), Dale Carnegie and Crucial Conversations training.
Maria is community service minded. She serves on the board of the Women’s Enterprise Skills Training (WEST) in Windsor, Ontario and is a volunteer facilitator in WEST’s programming for newcomer women. She is a member of the Southfield Area Rotary Club; and has served for several years as a mentor to first generation university students in the Mike Illitch Business School as part of Wayne State University’s Corporate Mentor program in Detroit.

Swati Karve’s career has spanned across teaching, corporate training, consulting, and counseling & therapy, for nearly 25 years. She has been a faculty in Psychology and Management in India and the US teaching various courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She has worked with for profit and non-profit companies in India and the US in areas of training and performance consulting.She has designed, and facilitated about 30 different training programs on various topics in personal effectiveness, leadership development, management development, professional development, HR domain specific training, and TTT programs. At Ford, working with internal SMEs she designed the Global Operational Leadership Development program (GOLD) program that aims to and enhance the skills and capabilities of leaders in plants to develop employees and work towards a culture of continuous improvement. The program is being implemented in all 82 facilities of Ford around the world. Versions of this program have been developed for Skill Teams, executives and micro learning modules of this program are being developed for employees. She also worked on validation and refinement of the competency model for global manufacturing, and designed a mentoring program that is being implemented for operations. She has been an invited speaker and trainer in different organizations and groups. A member of Detroit chapter of the ATD (Association of Talent Development), she has served on the board, and presented at their events. She was on the board of the Automation Alley of South East Michigan, serving on the Education and Training division. She is a published author for ATD. She has her own company, Arcturus Global Consulting and lives with her family in Troy, Michigan. She recently founded Swasti Institute for Learning and Development, a private institute in Pune, India, that will focus on providing education and training for individuals, organizations and communities. She is also a volunteer in the community and her hobbies include reading mystery novels, writing prose and poetry, traveling and star-gazing.

With over 27 years of experience, Dr. Susan Genden offers a variety of skills as a learning and performance consultant working with small to large businesses and with global corporations. Dr. Genden focuses on identifying problems or gaps and determining the best solution to fit company goals. She has worked with Ford Motor Company for over nine years to provide learning and performance solutions. Recent projects include: Lead/project manager of a Collaboration Project to improve teamwork globally for Engineering Learning and Development. Other recent projects involved design and development of competency framework training; and design, development, and implementation of a social and informal learning pilot to enable increased self-directed learning. The social and informal learning project included surveys, interviews, focus groups, podcasts, face-to-face and virtual sessions, and measurement of change. Metrics indicated successful adoption of social and informal learning by a majority of participants.
Dr. Genden received her Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from Wayne State University and she received a Graduate Certificate (GC) in Communication and New Media from Wayne State. Her PhD focused on use of social media for informal learning in a corporate environment. Before that, as the principal in her own business for over 17 years, Dr. Genden consulted with businesses, facilitated training, developed communications and graphics, and designed websites. She has designed and facilitated courses for the State of Michigan, for automotive companies, for college programs and for others. She is active in professional groups and, in that capacity, she is currently co-chair of a YouTube channel for videos on organizational training and performance. Dr. Genden specializes in informal, blended, and collaborative learning solutions, in either face-to-face or virtual, global environments. In all cases, she focuses on solving problems and providing innovative, effective, measurable solutions to support learning, improve performance, and align with organization goals.
Louise is an Executive Coach and Leadership Development Specialist.
She has worked with individuals and teams up to and including board level. Her clients include Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, Starbucks, Barclays Bank, the National History Museum and many others. In addition Louise was appointed to the judiciary as a Magistrate in 2013. As such she sits in court twice a month adjudicating on a wide range of crimes and sentencing a range of offenders.

Dr. Larry McCullough has over 30 years of experience working with major corporations in the areas of learning and development, change management, strategic planning and executive coaching. Recent key projects include serving as executive consultant and lead designer with Ford Motor to design and implement their global middle management development program; working with AstraZeneca to develop their global management training program; creation of a comprehensive 24 course change leadership program for the US Veteran’s Affairs to serve 72,000 managers and supervisors and implementation of many other global leadership development programs. From 2008 to 2012 Larry served as Head of US Learning Solutions for Hemsley Fraser, named by TrainingIndustry.com as one of the top 20 leadership training companies in the world during that period. In that role he served as Executive Consultant on many large global learning solutions engagements. Prior to this he was certified in the Executive Coaching process of the Forum Corporation, one of the leading training and development companies in the US. He was also a certified coach in the Ariel Group which is the leading provider of Executive Presence coaching, working with such companies as Royal Bank of Scotland, Amex and GE and also working in partnership with Harvard University Executive Education programs.
In the early part of his career, Larry was founder and Executive Director of the Institute for Human Resources, a semi-autonomous institute for training and development at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Following this he was Founder and President of Integrated Management Systems, a learning and development consulting firm in Wellesley, MA. This led to a position of Senior Consultant in Change Management at the Forum Corporation followed by a Director-level position in the Change Management Group with PwC in Boston.
Larry received a Doctorate in Applied Behavioural Sciences from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He also completed post-graduate courses and seminars in Global Political Economy at Harvard University. He has a special interest in using organization skills to support business leaders and corporations in addressing issues of concern to the global community and has been very active in projects related to global sustainability.
